After being party to a frightening tragedy, Taryn flees to protect herself and someone she loves. There are those who would do anything to find her, the media included. She disguises herself, seeking anonymity at Dan Carr's secluded Colorado Inn. But any peace she gains in helping Dan and his grandmother with renovations, in the hopes of reopening the inn by Christmas for a nearby ski resort, is eclipsed by the toll on her heart as she grows to care for the family. When Taryn learns the secrets of his late wife, she's sure Dan could never love her, once he discovers she's lied to him, too. Yet she doesn't know whom to trust or where else to run . . . Dan is leery of the woman who introduces herself as Terri Ross, sure she must be hiding something. He keeps close tabs on her--and soon finds himself falling in love, especially after seeing how good she is for his disturbed, young genius son. But when the truth of her deception comes to light, will Dan's love be strong enough to protect Taryn--a woman wanted by the law?
